Our team is made up of exited entrepreneurs, ERP executives, and Big Four trained, ACCA accredited accountants. Between us we have spent five decades founding, building, scaling, and exiting software and ERP platforms, including one we grew from $100K to $50M in four years. We designed Focal out of our own battle scars, from years of watching spreadsheet hell, manual processes, and one accounting tool after another fail the brands relying on them.

We have grown our own product brands and spent years helping other brands grow theirs. The average brand sold on 1.5 channels in 2019 and sells on 3.5 today, each one wired up to six or more point tools that mostly made things more complicated. We watched companies commit to inventory against money they did not actually have, because nothing in their stack could show them their cash position today.

The prescription has been wrong since 1970: outgrow your spreadsheets, buy an ERP, halt the business for a year and a half, hope it lands. So we built the thing in the middle. Focal is a Financial Operating System, tailor-made for product brands. It creates POs, maps BOMs to true COGS, and manages cash flow, then posts every one of those operational events into continuous GAAP accounting in real time, without the ERP surgery.
